Retro Superplex begins on a sad note as Justin and Martin speak on the passing of Dennis Stamp, known to many as the guy on the trampoline in his skivvies in Beyond the Mat. They also send their best wishes to Good Ol’ Jim Ross who very sadly lost his wife in a car accident.
Then there’s talk of WWE, they have a big show coming up this weekend or something? But Heidi Lovelace debuted on NXT TV and it was great! Not so great, there are strong rumors of WWE purchasing in Ring of Honor on another stop on WWE’s evil intentions to destroy the indie wrestling scene like they did the territories in the 80’s. But for the bad, there is SOUTHPAW REGIONAL WRESTLING, one of the funniest things to ever be made by wrestlers just fucking around backstage at shows.
Then, did you know it’s 20 years since the classic Castlevania Symphony of the Night was released? The guys talk about its amazing impact on video games that we are still seeing today. Also, Martin got to play a bit of Cliff Bleszinski’s new studio Boss Key’s hero shooter Lawbreakers! He has thoughts. Plus, how does a man from New Orleans feel about the future of Popeye’s Chicken now that Burger King is buying them? A STACKED SHOW so listen, dammit!
