CHRISTMAS EVIL is a cult favorite horror/thriller that brings the Christmas chills in some unexpected ways. Indeed, while portrayed as a more traditional slasher this film is in fact more of a psychological thriller as we watch the sad deterioration of a man’s sanity as Christmas approaches. With odd imagery, a great cast and some interesting ambiguities there are a lot of things to unpack that might not be obvious on the first viewing. So much to unpack in-fact that this episode contains a spoiler section at the end so check this movie out! It’s available on Shudder, on a fantastic Blu-ray from Vinegar Syndrome or on Youtube if you’re nasty. Check out Christmas Evil, it’s a pretty interesting little movie.
